After Action Report:

After a LONG and well fought battle - a Victor was had.

The Teams:

The Hawking Squad - Scott Archer, Stringtheorist. and Dendo - 3 Ships Total

The Foxian Republic - Callum603, Chris Wilkinson, and Klaw - 2 Ships Total

The Battle started totally on time ( :P ). And the casualties started early, when the Hammer of God (Captained by Dendo) was rammed by the HMS Foxia (Captained by Chris Wilkinson, and crewed by Callum603) resulting in the death of Chris early on. From there, The Shadow (Captained by Klaw) Maneuvers back round to take on The Juniper Flame, taking a fair bit of damage in the process - but dealing a good bit in the process before making a strategic withdraw to regroup.

By the time I had myself ready - the battle had moved quickly down the field, and The Shadow now had to catch up. Booking it back to re-enter the fray, The Shadow came in too hot, and wrecked into a still unknown vessel involved in the fray, resulting in her annihilation.

Meanwhile, The HMS Foxia was still in the fray, and one by one - took out each of the Hawking Squads ships. The Hammer of God went out first, followed by the Juniper Flame. By this time, the HMS Foxia had no weapons, but the battle resumed.

Now the USS Aristotle (Captained by Stringtheorist) was the last ship for The Hawking Squad. The Battle went on, like the battle in Star Trek II - Both ships never knew where the other was, and had a few encounters - each more deadly than the last. With the occasional trip from the crew trying grind the HMS Foxia down.

Finally - the HMS Foxia found the remnants of the USS Aristotle - and the battle was won with one final ram.

Winner: The Foxian Republic.

Announcements / Block Party Starts Tonight!
Last post by Klaw - July 19, 2019, 01:48:56 pm
Good morning everyone!

I wanted to extend a line to remind everyone that The Forge Block Party commences this evening and runs through the weekend.

During the course of the weekend, we'll play games, share stories, and most importantly have a great time!

Everyone is welcome to take part! I wanted to put this post out in the open to help share some details to help maximize the fun - Starting with the schedule of events:

6pm - Space Engineers - The Great Battle of Colony Alpha!

10am - Armada II Fleet Ops (Installer for the mod can be found here - I have been led to believe that it is a complete installer - if this is not the case, and you need an Armada Installer, let me know.)

1:30pm - RPG-X - Nova!!! I anticipate a 3 hour week this week, just an early warning.

5pm - GTA V Criminal Empire Building

10am - Bridge Crew

2pm - Civilization VI.

5pm - Closing Discord Session

So tonight's Space Engineers Battle (Thread can be found here) will be hosted on our Space Engineers server. The IP address for that is and is also listed in a banner above. This server has a whitelist restriction on it, to try to avoid issues we had with griefers the other day, so you'll need to join our Steam group to join. It only takes a second, and it's a great way to stay connected with us! We start at 6pm EDT tonight!

Armada 2 Fleet Operations is a mod for Star Trek Armada II, and can be downloaded here. You will need a disk or ISO of Armada II to participate (But one could "fall off the truck" if you need it, just ask)

I'll post on Discord (I'm a link) the IP address to join for the match, and we'll organize this (and mostly every other event we do) from there. So you may want to pop on if you haven't yet.

Finished or not, I'll have to back out at 1:30pm EDT for Nova. Time After Time is a special episode designed for this weekend. It's a great starting point for anyone to drop in and take part. You can connect to our RPG-X server using /connect And a list of required files for the series can be found here.

For a change in pace, Those interested can hop on Grand Theft Auto Online And Do some missions, build 'The Klingon Raiders' motorcycle gang - or just paint Los Santos red (with blood :P)

Bridge Crew is a game most of us acquired on the summer Steam sale recently. We'll break off into crews and see what mission(s) The game has in store for us.

Civilization VI is a game I don't own, but Scott Archer does - and will help organize the shenanigans.

The Closing Discord Session:

This is the big one on Sunday. During the weekend's events, We're going to put up flash polls for various game related awards. These awards will be little more than bragging rights (until next year), but - come on, Bragging Rights!

These awards (and a few more, handed out special by the Ops Team) will be awarded to everyone who takes part during the closing discord session.

Just once more - A link to our discord can be found here:

And that will close out our weekend. If you have any questions, comments or concerns Please reach out to Me, Stringtheorist, Scott Archer, or Callum603. We'll all be more than happy to help.

See you all tonight!

Yeah there is. If you go to your channels dashboard there should be a module about hosting. You can either have an auto host list that will host anyone on that list who is live (what I do) or you can start hosting someone at your whim by entering their username.

There's a way to play the streams of other people on your channel, correct?

Because I'd like to set this up (At least on my twitch channel), to help exposure

Howdy Folks

So I'm thinking about streaming most - if not all of the Block party content this weekend (though my experience with this is limited) SO - I figured, maybe it'd be good to organize and coordinate a bit, to help welcome a broader audience, and so not one person has to do all the work.

To my streaming folks out there - what say you? You interested in helping us out?
